Is it safe to open a .txt file? by toxin2004-02-05 17:26:03
  Open it with notepad by oot 2004-02-05 17:31:20
If it's .txt, it should be fine... that's just plain text... but in case there's something sneaky going on with .txt.exe and the .exe hidden by your preferences, it's probably safer to open it with the open command of the program you intend to you instead of double-clicking it.
