| A creative solution! |

This reply is a bit late but maybe you'll see it anyway. I've always worn my hair in a towel and I know the neckache you mean. Since I know you are crafty and creative, here is the solution I found and maybe you'll like it!
You will need:
1) A towel you don't mind cutting up
2) A large button
3) A small piece of elastic (the sewing kind)
Steps:
1) Prepare a pattern on paper (or in your head if you are good enough). The pattern looks like a teardrop cut in half lengthwise, roughly 2 feet long and 1 foot wide. You can adjust this later when you figure out how the towel works.
2) Cut out two pieces from the towel
3) Sew them together along the curved edge. The straight edge remains open (best to hem this edge to finish it).
4) Sew the button onto the seam right at the edge of the fat end of the half-teardrop.
5) Sew the elastic into a loop on the seam at the pointy end of the towel.
Tadaa! Ok, it's kind of weird. But a very comfortable way to wear your wet hair until you're ready to dry it. To wear this towel, tip your head forward as if you were wrapping your hair in a regular towel. Put the bulky end of the new towel on your head with the button at the base of your neck (on the outside of the towel). The pointy end hangs down with your hair. Now twist up your hair in the towel, and fasten the elastic loop to the button. You can dance and this thing won't fall off, and it's light!
I have two of these towels and I love them. :)
