that was due him. There wasn't a single state where he lost electoral votes, where he didn't ALSO lose the majority vote. The fact that those counted agaisnt the votes where he actuall carried the a State is another issue. But it is very clear that, he won in each State where he won and lost where he lost.
The fact that the aggragate of votes indicate a hair-thin margin otherwise is irrelevent. That's not the way America has EVER counted votes. Yes, we finally have an election that hit the corner-case. To use that to say that Bush stole the election is less than honest. The US has ALWAYS done it that way and to change it, just for this election, is absurd. It also would be a legally challengable election.
No, I don't like Bush being there either. But I am NOT going to make the absurd statement that y'all are making and I wish people would stop being so stupid about it. It's getting tiresome. I'll bet that, had it gone the same margin, in the other direction, y'all wouldn't be calling it. |
