I hate my credit card company by niwikki2004-02-05 11:02:06

well, that's not an option... by niwikki 2004-02-05 13:16:32
I'm at school and I don't have my checkbook with me. I won't be getting home until well after 5pm (my class lets out just before 5pm, and then I have to deal with rush hour traffic and it takes me at least a half hour to drive the 10 miles home), and all post offices in this area close by then.

oh well.

I think submission of a payment online with all necessary details should count as ontime payment, even if their own services are incapable of posting the payment by then.

Heck, my OTHER credit card sees it that way (I went to pay it online today, even though it's not due until the 12th, because this experience freaked me out)... the date I submit the payment is the date of the payment, regardless of when it posts.

As I mentioned before, I've never paid "late" before and so I have no clue how this company will handle it. I don't know whether they'll assess the finance charge because the payment didn't post on time, or whether they'll accept the date that I submitted it as the payment date. We'll see.

I've paid off the entire balance of the card now (even what wasn't due and even what I purchased yesterday that hasn't yet shown up online) and that entire amount, according to them, should post on Monday. I won't be using that card again until I'm certain it's all sorted out.
