There's an issue with Windows 2000 that won't allow it to do a memory dump for computers with over 2 gig of RAM. One of the fixes is to add a line to boot.ini that reads "MaxMex=2000" If it's there, that's the problem. You can take that out and set Windows to do a small memory dump if it crashes. Or it might be something wacky. This is the only thing I know of that might cause it.
