Intelligence test for professionals by kinslay3r2004-02-05 08:02:59

1. First I check the physical properties of the giraffe in question and the constraints imposed by the refrigerator in question. THEN, if the giraffe fits, I put it in the refrigerator. Otherwise I get the appropriate person to upgrade the refrigerator to a version that fits all necessary conditions to successfully do the job. Because trying to put a giraffe in a refrigerator that's too small might damage corporate property, get me in trouble and cost unnecessary money...

2. Same as 1. Additionally check whether it's the same refrigerator from 1, that it's still occupied by the giraffe (someone else might have removed it) and that there's not enough space to add the elephant. If so, verify first that it's okay to remove the giraffe. Because to be professional means to verify on the unclear/underspecified points and cover your ARS against those who missed these facts when giving you that task...

3. The question did not relate the incident described in 2. with the conference in any temporal manner. Might as well be that the conference is months after the elephant left the refrigerator again. Maybe there's a mouse in there now that doesn't attend. Again, underspecified scenario...

4. Same as three. It is not specified in the scenario that you try to cross the river while the conference is held. Neither does 3. specify where the conference is held. Might as well be in that river...
