I hope that it does turn out to be a good (effective) position. As well, do you not have a local LGBTA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered (or Transsexual) and Ally) association? I think you'd count in that, no? Unless, of course, you're looking for support somewhere else in your life (I think you mentioned depression and I know on our campus there are Bi-Polar and Depression support groups) ... Ah well, time to run. Hope it all works out for the uni in the end!
