No. By no means. They are all great ideas, but nothing to respect*. It's easy to talk about them and tell everybody how wonderful they are. Respect is for the people who hold those ideas high, protect and fight for them even if it's unpopular, inconvenient or even dangerous...

*: There's a bit of a language problem here. What I mean is: No respect in the sense of deference. Respect like in "respect this rule" meaning following (perhaps without exactly holding it in esteem) it is not meant. |
