Help finding motherboard for a pair of PIII Xeons? by VCA2004-02-05 06:40:14
I'm getting ready to pull my hair out... by VCA 2004-02-05 08:49:11
Here's what I've found: the 733MHz Xeon III is, indeed a SECC1, Slot 2 (SC330) processor. Very few boards support this processing beast.

The Tyan Thunder X, unfortunately, won't even support it--it uses the 440 chipset, which doesn't support the 133MHz FSB of the 0.18 micron "Cascades" III Xeons.

Right now, it's looking like my only option is the Intel SBT2 server board--around $199 with onboard Ultra 160 SCSI (Adaptec controller)...meh, could be worse.

Any other manufacturers I'm missing? (I hope so...)

Thank you again for your help.
