The right tool for the right job. Just as in programming. (I can feel the zealots at the back of my neck right now.)

If you work in publications a Mac is ideal as the large scale TIFF images needed for printing can really cause problems on NT. However, most production coontrol software is written for the NT Kernal (I don't write the stuff.) so NT makes the most sense. Production email is being done by an Open BSD box which interfaces well with the dinosaur AS/400 software and our firewall.

I personally cry at the thought of baing able to afford a beautiful new Mac and taking it apart as it would be a dream computer. Couldn't he have just bought a replacement case?????
