I never thought they should shield anyone, or be the sole take the blame officers. Nor should a CEO have to be a celebrity - just the mouthpiece of the company.
And I don't really see any of that happening. It's how I think it *should* be, but it's a dream that will likely never be realized. I only think much of that a solution because of the sheer amounts of money involved, and the innate desire in most of us to always have more. You can't defeat greed, but you can check it.
By the way, his name is Jim Cantalupo, who replaced a retiring Jack Greenberg at the beginning of the year. |
