Apologies to UFie Idolers, more specific this time by MajorG172004-02-05 04:26:21
Probably not by voxwoman 2004-02-05 05:29:51
I really admire the UFie Idol staff for their scrupulous honesty. Yes, posting karaoke tracks (with or w/o vocals) of copyrighted songs is a violation (unless they have permission and/or licsense), as is posting a "cover" song. However, I believe in this particular case, especially since nobody's making any money off of this (so there are no damages to get), that the copyright holder's are very likely NOT going to sue. And the only people who can sue are the copyright holders, not the performers who made them famous (Unless they wrote the songs as well).
