without proof of insurance, however you can get a cover note and then cancel the insurance - notes are left in the system though. Quite a lot of people don't have a tax disc either, but there's very little a traffic warden can do about it if you never had one, as all they can do is slap a sticker on your vehicle and look it up in the database at the end of the day. If the car isn't on the database, what do they do then?
