someone gets obviously injured. A police van paused at my accident, but never bothered to ask me about the incident at all. I rang their control when I got back home and they didn't give a monkeys - I told them when and where, but they obviously filed it all under "B". However, you can get arrested for leaving the scene of an accident, even if it's a minor 'fender-bender' as you say in the USA.
