| If you are flying one-way, any of the major airlines are going to cost you an arm and a leg. For example, the cheapest non-stop from New York to LA on a major carrier I found was $315 on American Airlines.
I'd suggest flying JetBlue instead, as a one-way non-stop from New York to either Oakland (right near San Francisco) or Long Beach (right near Los Angeles) will cost you only $79 from jetblue.com. Although both airports are slightly further from your destinations, they are both smaller airports, so getting out and getting luggage is much faster. Plus, the service on JetBlue is great, the staff is friendly, and you get 20 channels of live TV at each seat. I'd highly recommend them. |
