Driving distances are MUCH larger here than in hte UK. So don't plan too much, then if you still have time, do more. Also, it looks like you're travelling the East Coast. Start in Florida, then travel up. That is the best weather for the trips you're taking. And I would try renting a car. Our bus system doesn't run quite as smoothly as Europes'.
A couple words of caution: Maine has "insect seasons." Make sure you're there between seasons. Black flies are viscious up there, and the mosquitoes are even worse. Also, don't let the Floridians tell you they are called 'Palmetto Bugs.' They are fist sized cockroaches. |
