| I just hate telemarketers (different situation, I know, but bear with me), and it really irks me that they call me up and try to sell me double-glazing (we've got it) or a new conservaty (ours is about four weeks old) or something else entirely. But I have to remember to be polite, becuase in the end, they are just ordinary people who are doing a job. I don't know if you've ever had this, but my friend once took a call were the guy on the other end was overjoyed in telling him that he'd 'won a holiday!' My friend, calm and polite as ever, said 'No, that's okay - you have it!' |
