My mother got teached by an farmers grandmother when our family was on vacation at that farmhouse. I always loved bakery so I watched them and learned it as well despite being just 7 years of age.

It looks like a lot of work but in fact it just takes a lot of time, for there are long intervalls the dough needs to rise (much longer than with yeast). All you need is rye-flour.
