other than a nasty scar on his forehead, chest, and two missing fingers you wouldn't know he ever got shot. The German soldier hot him three times at close range. After he'd gotten shot the third time old Charlie decided he'd best stay down or the German might kill him. He even walked into the field hospital as if he'd just lost some fingers. The doctor allegedly fainted.
