Hey! DesertRat! Remember how I was gushing about the rewiring job they were doing in the building I'm in? Well, they just managed to finally mess _{(thought twice about that word)} it up. They're wandering around putting in the patch cords from the patch panels in the ceiling space down to the desktop. They're running 2 data connections and 2 phone connections to each desk (1 each for a backup connection). They were putting the socket ends on them and I noticed that they weren't the standard beige. But they were all BLUE! Come on! If they're going to make it a color, couldn't they make data one color and phone another? That's the way they're running the cable! Why not the connectors?!? I talked to one of the contractors doing the installation work. He told me that his boss had asked the same question. The answer? "Just do it." _{_{(Only 10 years left. I hope I make it...)}}
