Nowhere in any of the links that I looked through (many had pop-ups, hence no linkies) was there mention of a *witness*. There seems to have been some good evidence, but no *witness*.
Based on the evidence mentioned (powder residue, footprint on nightgown, admitted presence of accused in home, etc), it sure *looks* like he did it.
But absolute, incontravertible proof? Nope.
Is there a vanishingly small chance that he told the truth? Yup.
Likely? Nope.
Absolute certainty that the correct person was just disposed of? Nope again. |
