| On artillery strikes. |

ok i know this will be like jumping straight into a volcano, so where is my asbestos underware ;) , allthough this is just my opinion.
ok lets face it, artillery can be really really annoying if it is handled by some one that knows to place it.
there are several maps that have some strategic points on where artillery can be placed to really cripple/slow down the opponent.
bad thing about that is, that on some of these maps the spawn is very near, so a misplaced artillery can land in or near the spawn.
if you now say "ok then dont use artillery if you cant handle it" , IMHO try it out yourself on an empty map and try to place a precise artillery strike (and try to place it like you are under fire....that means very quick).
also remember on most of the maps the spawn point has more than one exit, so dont just run like the lemmings into the artillery strike because the artillery strike is blocking the fastest way (well that was its purpose to slow you down and block the way).
shure "to be avioded" things are (IMHO)
direct strikes into the spawn (if someone wants so see the difference for example on the "Gold Rush" map i'm willing to show it to you ;) ....)
constant spamming of objects (example: the bridge constructible/tank on the "Fule Dump" map).
and guys/girls ...always remember it is a game!
so enjoy and think of a way to get rid of that annoying FieldOps that placed a nice killing artillery strike ;)
p.s most of the things above said also apply to airstrikes |
