I've had an awful week too, and last night I got the worst point of stress taken care of, and I'm looking forward to the weekend to recover.
My favourite way to unwind is to carefully NOT make plans to do ANYTHING. I like to sleep in, and then grab a cup of coffee or tea and sit on the couch and read for a while. I don't know why, but this is my "happy place", and I don't get it very often. I love just sitting there in the morning (or afternoon depending on the lateness of sleeping-in) with my tea, staring out the window, daydreaming, or reading, and not feeling pressured to accomplish anything that day.
When I'm finished my drink, I'll either play computer games, read some more, or go for a short walk. It's important for me not to walk to malls or major shopping areas though, since it usually infringes on my relaxation. Walking to the local Starbucks is always a treat though. It's also important to me that the excursion involves walking only - no driving or public transportation. It's more of a random wander with no destination and no purpose except to get some fresh air and let my mind unwind and take in some new scenery that is not my apartment.
Well that was more long winded than I meant. I need a weekend like that now. :)
