These things do need a doctor's blessing, not just a decision. I was persuaded into a faddish sort of diet years ago (whether it works or not, you've gotta admit Atkins is a fad right now), and my digestive system shut down for a week, and then went into spasms for another one. I barely escaped a hospital stay. Now I am unusual in several reactions to things, but that doesn't mean he isn't also. That also doesn't mean I'm trying to discourage. I believe you came down quite a bit too hard with that comment to the poster.
