| Fit or Fat is a book by Covert Bailey that explains how the body consumes fats, proteins and carbohydrates. It is very informative. To date I've heard no one else try to explain how or why a diet really works. Mr. Bailey explains why you need all 3 (fat,protein,&carbs) in your diet. I think he has gone the way of the fad diet sellers and tried to make a quick buck selling exercise equipment, but his first book is excellent.
His conclusion is exercise and a balnced diet. If you cant metabolize it, then dont eat it.
some of the more interesting observations he made were:
- On AVERAGE, fat people eat less than skinny people and skinny people exercise more.
- if it took you X number of years to get fat, plan on X number of years to get unfat.
