Many software engineers work for large companys that do not have software as there main buisness. As such they have no power and are expected to achive the impossible. Most people who work for these companys will equate the phrase You all ready have the engine. = well the data is in the database of couse you should be able to get it. They dont hear the fact that the data was put in the database 20 years ago on a VMS platform and is so out of date its not worth 2c not to mention its really not even the Data they think it is.
