Any experianced engineer would listen to the requests, nod politely and wait for KB to leave. They would then ignore the VW and get back to the far more important work what they were in the middle of. After at least 3 iterations of the requirments then you listen to what KB wants, work out what along those lines is possible and build the best solution they can. At the same time slowly stearing KBs requirments in the direction of what he's going to get anyway.
