Of all the rock stars I could have chosen to be my favorite, Alice Cooper was greeted by my parents with the fondness they would have had for a rotting possum scraped off the road. Of all the rock stars of that generation, he's been married to the same woman for almost thirty years, never cheated on her and they have three beautiful kids that are not complete jerks like some overprivileged brats. Alice is a philanthropist and an old movie buff. He's quiet and introspective, the opposite of his stage persona. The lesson? Looks are deceiving and so are media images. Britney is considered a good role model for girls and I'd treat her as Kryptonite if I had kids. You're right. Parents are so uninterested in their kids except to keep them docile and under control. I can't imagine why the majority of people even bother to have kids. Kids aren't anything more than a status symbol for a lot of people. Stick 'em in front of the TV and forget about it.
