That's what made everything so stupid. Women would stay with abusive men because they feared the gossip created by a divorce more than they feared the broken bones and bruised flesh. Now, if a guy is a jerk, leave his keister. Nobody cares if you leave him. We care a lot if you stay with him because your fights are heard throughout the neighborhood and we're sick of the cop cars showing up in front of your house. Someday, we'll see the ambulance or the coroner's truck.
