Shoot me, hang me, put me to sleep, but don't put me in prison for life. Even if I was later found innocent and they let me out with apologies, I'd be scarred in ways that incline me to prefer death. So, as far as I'm concerned, the far more humane treatment, is the one so many in their generosity consider inhumane. I have no fear of death, I fear life in an environment that I could never understand nor deal with.
