Open up the properties	by nin_man	2004-01-15 08:26:25
for his active network connection, in the properties page for My Network Places. The Advanced tab has what you're looking for. Enable Internet Connection Firewall, and if you want you can open up the Advanced page there and open up certain ports for various pre-defined services or define your own. Only those ports you define as open will be open; everything else is closed for uninvited incoming traffic. It's not as robust as a firewall device, but it ought to be enough to ease his mind.
