Since you weren't around forty years ago, let me tell you what it was like. There was a perfect world shown in the media and the antithesis of perfection in life around us. There was a horrible war going on and social upheaval.
Why are you so worried about the morality of the media? Other countries have much more permissive medias than we do and they're not falling apart at the seams. We're still in the throes of ditching the Puritan ethic that has stultified our culture for so many centuries. We should give less of a crap that they say "$#!+" on TV and more of a crap that they feed us so much bull$#!+ on TV. |
