WinXP already has a basic firewall. Network Connections > Local Area Connection (or whatever) > Properties > Advanced Check the checkbox and on Settings you can define what ports should remain open. I think that's how it's done, but I never did it myself. Well, this is the built-in feature made by Microsoft. My advice is if you want to close the port and not just close it, start downloading something else. ;)
