If it really exist then it's probably at intoxination level. But below that you can do much about the hangover, and maybe even a bit when above. That is: Choose the right poison. With beer there are definitely differences in terms of after effects. Drinking five sorts of wine until braindead and then adding a bonus champagne gives a killer hangover. Drinking the same amount of, say, Warsteiner beer, doesn't (although I don't like the taste of it). Some days ago there was a test in german television about avoiding hangover. I remember that drinking a mug of water with/after each alcoholic drink helps a lot. Presoaking with Aspirin doesn't. Anyone who remembers the rest? What was it about those ugly oil sardines?
