I had a power lead with a replaced plug and for whatever reason the screw holding it shut didn't. I was plugging it in at the time and came into direct contact with 240 volts. Thankfully, as I was plugging it into a 5-bar on the floor, I had my left hand on my left knee, shorting the inevitable electric shock away from my vital organs. I was shaken but unhurt.
