I had the money and the time. Strange thing was: I couldn't get a flight back home where I was starting at a new job after my planned 6 to 7 week long stay at NZ.
It was a problem following up the 9/11 desaster. All the long distance flights were cut back heavily during the time after and they were indeed short of places aboard the planes. Maybe I should try it now? I could afford a maximum of 5 weeks at the end of february ...
