which I guess is why we're joint 5th on that table, WOO!
Want big water? we have both a sea AND an ocean... not many cities can claim THAT.
Mountains, well, we have the waitakere ranges, which are pretty, but are really just very very big hills... but we do have lots of small volcanoes dotting the city, which makes for a unique outlook.
Winters will not drop below 10C, summers tend to hover around 25C, its a side effect of being so close to water, stable temperatures.
Almost all NZ is very much sport crazy.
Who doesn't have lots of coffee shops? (Wellington however has the most coffeeshops per head(unsure if thats in the world, or just NZ))
We have an insane amount of parkland, from large domains, to small reserves dotting the suburbs. I live in a suburban area, but our backyard looks directly onto bush. Such a thing is typical here.
The downtown core isn't too hot for cycling though... for one thing its very hilly (built on a volcano)
Being such a young country its difficult to have many old style buildings... but they are there. And both the maori and pioneer history is interesting too (and recent).
