I always argue to win, to do otherwise would be pointless, but seldom is the winning the actual objective. Sometimes the reason for arguing is to make a point. Sometimes it is to refute a point claimed by someone else. Sometimes it is to clarify my position to myself and others. Sometimes it is just for the fun.
