Is it possible to run both by splat_ed2004-01-13 11:41:29
      considering it's dual proc, by psychoi3oy 2004-01-13 11:58:45
you could run one instance of each. historically seti hasn't been multithreaded, so 2 instances would have been required for full utilization of free cpu time.

from what i've seen on folding, it runs several processes but i'm not sure if all the threads are really doing number crunching, and i know the install has options for clients running on the same machine but ID'd seperately so they don't stomp on eachother.

be forewarned, though. my athlon 1.1ghz (single proc) takes anywhere from 12 hours to 2 days to complete a folding WU, and my pII333 laptop takes several days to the short side of a whole week to do a WU. that being said even though it's not as much instant gratification as seti, i feel the cause is more worthwhile and have been running it now for several months instead of seti.
