What the doctors are trying to do is maintain her quality of life for a while yet. So long as the radiation and chemo still work, she goes with it. When it stops working, we have talked about a hospice, though she is not keen on the idea and I suspect she has "plans" which I'd better not know about. She has created a living will, properly notarized, and I have a copy.
For the time being, she is just very weak from all the aggressive medication and radiation therapy, and she is not working, so we have to take care of all her needs, but she's well enough to talk with her visitors and watch TV. |
