the only way to remove the British from India was thru peace.

The Indian people, though a staggering majority, had little military means. If they had tried to use force the British could have massacred any protesters and called it self defence.

However it wasnt self defence because no offence was offered and so what force was used in return was seen as it always is - a massacre and waste of life.

IF you can agree with me that the best way to get to a destination is to figure out where that is and then decide the best route. The inescapable conclusion is that if we want a world without war the best way to get there is not wage it.
