I'll not name them, to keep this from getting ugly, but I'll ask you to research that. I'll also give you a couple of quotes:

In addition to Gandhi, I give you The Founding Fathers of the US who, quite apart from the Revolution, achieved lasting greatness without military force. Then there's Voltaire, Aquinas, Newton...
In short, not only are you, IMHO, very wrong, those who have shared your opinion historically have largely been some fairly nasty people.
I'm not a pacifist, but I believe you need to go a LONG way before resorting to violence, and almost NEVER should you initiate it. |
