the same prescription from several doctors to exceed the recommended dosage levels of the drug. None of the doctors know about the others so they each give him a 'scrip for 200 pills and he sees two or three of them for a total of 400-600 pills.

He is being prosecuted because that's what he's advocated for all drug addicts over the years. I can't imagine why he's crying like a little wimpy boy when he's merely being offered a dose of his own "medicine" as it were.

And no, if you're a rich celebrity seeking help for a drug problem, you're not likely to be targeted for prosecution. Deities help you if you're poor because they'll throw your butt in jail as the low-life miscreant you are.
