Against Section 215 of the USA Patriot Act by klar_at_home 2006-11-19 12:55:59

Quote : "Section 215 of the USA Patriot Act gives law enforcement officials broad authority to demand that libraries or bookstores turn over books, records, papers, and documents, [...]"

Those same bookstores and libraries are now collecting signatures to go against section 215. Makes you wonder if all those signatures can be seen as a form of document which those same bookstores and libraries can be forced to hand over to those authorities on demand.

What a way to stop a protest.

"We are [FBI] [CIA] etc. We need the following documents, for reason of the country's security. All signatures given against Section 215."

Of course, the best way to prevent this to happen, is to take the signatures home with you.
