histrionics - The ACLU has been defending the Bill of Rights and the constitution since 1920. If you consider those to be "left-wing issues and defendants" so be it, you have a right to express your opinions in large part thanks to the work of this organization. They caught a HUGE amount of flack from the "left" back 30 years ago - when they were defending the constitutional rights of the American Nazi Party. Read the PDF file you'll find here and consider the facts. In general, I think it's best to make it clear that you are expressing an opinion unless you have done the research, and can back up such statements. Otherwise, (in my opinion), they lack substance and are simply seen as inflamitory.
