That must have been, like, two days after the first release of the GIMP, because boy does Photopaint suck in comparison (at least the 1998 version I have does - compared to the gimp of the same era, so that's like version 0.90).
Although I will admit it doesn't seem so at first, because many people don't think the gimp has many features because they never figure to press the right mouse button on the image. This is how you do more or less everything, although since about 1.3.5 it's also been possible to turn on a menubar, and that's been the default since 1.3.20 (The 1.3 series is the development series for 2.0 - 2.0pre1, the most recent release,is more or less gimp 1.3.23 with couple o' bug fixes). |
