                You don't understand. by Naruki 2003-12-21 21:08:52
For me to stop responding to your posts, YOU will have to leave the hot-topic threads. As long as people are discussing topics of interest to me, I will participate (as do you). When I see mistakes, I will point them out - in direct proportion to the manner of their delivery. Telling me to leave so that you can say whatever you want is not really acceptable terms.

I don't know why this might be so, but if you don't like having your mistakes pointed out, then don't make them. However, most of your mistakes are preventable by doing a simple check on Google or Dictionary.com. The other alternative to doing research is to avoid stating the mistakes. Personally, I'd prefer it if you did the former.

I don't expect you to stop making all mistakes any more than _I_ will stop doing so. But it _would_ behoove you to be less arrogant about them and more willing to discuss them rationally. Attacking me for pointing out your mistakes isn't helping anyone. Neither is presenting your mistakes as irrefutable facts.

And I'd say that the latter is more harmful to society, since they may try to act on the information if they buy into the mistake. But that's debateable - it might be the former one, if everybody here is savvy enough to realize the mistakes without my help.
