Does anyone seriously think that the level will -ever- go to Blue or (oh my God, is this the Second Coming?) Green? Threate levels issued to the public are ridiculous fear-mongering. They serve no useful purpose except to keep free-thinking people from trusting the word of the government. For stupid people - once in a while an event may happen that the administration will connect with their 'increased threat level'. These are no indication of the effectiveness of the threat level alert, and only should be taken into account if -nothing- happens at lower threat levels. Was George Orwell 20 years too late? KS
