So, you and your SO are sending a card to someone. (Sorry, this question only applies to people who have an SO.) It could be a holiday card, a thank you card, a get-well card. Maybe it's the card attached to a present. Whatever. The point is, both of your names will appear on the bottom as "signatures". Do you always/sometimes/never both actually sign your own names, or does one of you sign both names?
