Is swap the left and right buttons, or left and middle buttons, so that you have a good button assigned to be primary-click. In Windows you can usually accomplish this on the Buttons tab of the Mouse control panel. In X you can run xmodmap -e "pointer = 3 2 1" which will reverse buttons 1 and 3. You'll have to add more button numbers if you have more buttons. For example, a scroll mouse: xmodmap -e "pointer = 3 2 1 4 5" A 5-button mouse: xmodmap -e "pointer = 3 2 1 4 5 6 7" (Scroll up and down count as buttons). fx
